An Airbus A320 Flight has smashed in the French Alps in the middle of Barcelonnette and Digne, French flying authorities and police have said.
The plane has a place with the German aerial shuttle Germanwings, an auxiliary of Lufthansa.
The plane had apparently been on the way from Barcelona to Dusseldorf and was conveying 142 travelers and six team.
French President Francois Hollande said: "The states of the mishap, which have not yet been cleared up, lead us to think there are no survivors."
Mr Hollande said the accident was a catastrophe and called for solidarity with the victimized people, including that the range was extremely hard to get to.
He said he would be talking in no time with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
The plane issued a trouble call at 10:47 (09:47 GMT), as per sources cited by AFP news office.
Inquiry and-salvage groups are made a beeline for the accident site at Meolans-Revels, said local committee head Eric Ciotti.
French Prime Minister Manuel Valls said he had sent Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve to the scene and an ecclesiastical emergency cell to co-ordinate the episode had been set up.
The inside service said garbage had been found at an elevation of 2,000 meters.
Both Airbus and Germanwings have said they are mindful of the reports yet can't yet affirm them.
The Airbus A320 is single-passageway traveler plane mainstream for short- and medium-pull flights.
